CD Star was one of the original New Zealand based online CD retailers and has recently expanded into Australia chasing a bigger market. All titles are sourced locally (ie within Australia) and shipped from Australia, shipping is thus 3-5 days.

CD Star has a fresh clean frameless design, and interestingly is the only Australian based retailer that doesn't use a black background. Their search engine is reasonable although an artist search for "live" turned up other artists with live in their name and a search for "santana" will put Supernatural at the end of the list.

CD Star has a pricing policy of $24.95 on the TOP 40, including double CDs and a quick look around the store will show that is a fairly standard price. In addition CD Star offers FREE SHIPPING. While six months ago this would have been at the top end of the Australian stores, you can now get better pricing at Chaos Music and Noizenet.
